Small game consoles have definitely damaged business for arcade machine sellers, but you still can’t help but love the classic that started it all.  Thankfully there are still certain companies that like to make very stylish and current arcade themed furniture.  Surface Tension’s Arcane Arcade Table may not be exactly new, but it’s getting some updates to make it an even sweeter deal.

The updated version will be getting Sonos ZP90 wireless ZonePlayer, making it possible to make the table a part of your Sonos network.  It’s also taking a step up from the original 190inch LCD size and going on up to 26-inches.  In addition to that, it’ll ship out with Windows 7.  The table currently features Intel i7 CPU, 8GB 1366 DDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD.  The table itself has hi-gloss sides and a slightly longer control panel that houses 2 x 7-button layouts and a spinner.  I believe it goes without saying though that these tables are going to cost you a whole lot of cash.

My all time favorite accessories always seem to be the incredibly simple solutions.  The ones you really feel like you should have been smart enough to come up with on your own, but didn’t.  These Mini Risers are one of those items.  They don’t go overboard with big fans that you don’t always need.  Instead they just simply raise up your laptop to allow for all of that hot air to escape.

Truthfully, my laptop does get hot like most laptops out there, but I’ve never felt like it was really enough for me to rush out and buy an electronic laptop stand with dual fans.  I’ve had laptops before that need their own window air conditioner, but for my current one these Mini Risers would work perfectly.  If you think those little wire things will sit awkwardly in your laptop bag, you should check out their product site.  They have a picture that shows the perfect way to carry it without taking up extra space.  These come in a total of 10 colors, some falling in the subtle category while others go for that eye popping effect.  You can purchase these in sets of 2 for all of $7.95.

The Dell Streak has had its fair chance to shine in the UK for some time already, so it is now the time for folks in the US to play with the Streak. Dell has just made available their 5″ tablet device to North America, but not without some initial snags already. It seems that while you are able to pick it up for $299.99 with a new 2-year AT&T contract, there is also an option to do so for a rather $549.99 without. The snag? Even if you want to put in a SIM card from another carrier, you can’t, simply because the Dell Streak is carrier locked to AT&T. That’s a bummer for folks who prefer services from other providers, but we are pretty sure that hackers who see this as a delightful challenge will do their level best to unlock the Dell Streak in due time.

Orders for the Dell Streak Tablet should have started from today onwards, where the Streak will be released tomorrow. Before we proceed further, here are some details on the Streak – this carbon black Android-based tablet will come equipped with a 5-inch display, where it aims to function as more than just a portable media player, providing excellent “on-the-go” entertainment, social connection, and navigation experience. It comes with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while 3G support enables easy access for downloading and listening to music, updating social networking status in real-time, and staying connected to friends and family through e-mail, text, IM, and voice calls, wherever you are.

The 5-inch display is also great to present Web pages in their natural form, making it nearly as good as the smallest netbook. With a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor within, you won’t find the Streak gasping for breath as it goes about with your daily business. Integrated Google Maps offer turn-by-turn navigation, street and satellite views, while a high resolution 5-megapixel camera lets you capture memories vividly wherever you are at that moment. I realize that glass bottom

boat tours can be pretty fun, but this is the first time that I have seen this concept be applied on a aircraft.

I’m going to assume that an ordinary plane (or even extraordinary plane) can’t land with a glass bottom. I mean, it would shatter on touchdown! I don’t think this rule applies to a hot air balloon.

Christian Brown, the creator of this new type of transportation, says that it is a “terrifying experience” and “not for the feint of heart”. You think so?

Even Christian Brown believes this thing is scary, and he has 18 years of flying experience. He has also traveled around the world in a balloon with Sir Richard Branson, and holds the tethered altitude world record at 10,000 feet.

This was designed to fly over the Alps, and I’m sure the view is breathtaking. The glass-bottom hot air balloon appeared at the 2010 Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

Man, would I love to try this. Then again, get me high in the air on it, and we’ll see how much I love it. Its one thing to want the latest thrill, and it’s another thing to actually experience it. Of course, a quick landing might be the scariest thing.

You know those crop circles that you hear about? One theory is that aliens are really trying to write on our landscapes in their own language.

Now why would aliens do that, when this man, Nick Newcomen, just scrawled out a message on planet Earth in a human language. You can read it in the photo.

Newcomen drove for 30 days, through 30 states, for a grand total of 12,238 miles. He had a Qstarz BT-Q1000X as the medium for his message, and it can only seen with Google Earth with the recorded GPS device data.

This is probably the biggest sign in the world. It makes the Hollywood letters look like very fine legal print. Only the Great Wall of China could underline these three words.

Just to let you know, the driver didn’t write these words in order. He had to write the word “Rand”, then went north to write “Read”, and managed to do “Ayn”. Clearly the works of Anthem, The Fountainhead, and Atlas Shrugged are worth reading with this devotion. Let’s be glad that his favorite author wasn’t Fyodor Dostoevsky or something even longer. I wonder if he had to go off-road in order to make some of these giant letters.

Seriously, are the roads in the United States shaped like letters so well? Leave a comment if you know if anyone else has done something like this.
