This little case fits my Zune 80 exactly. It adds little bulk – just enough to make the Zune easier to grip. Cut-outs are in the right place, and the style allows for both straight-in and 90-degree angle headphones. Great price.

I am using this with the Zune 120. It seems well constructed. The openings for the controls are well designed, offering easy access while protecting the screen and housing. I did not experience problems with the belt clip; if anything, it almost clamps too tightly, though this is far preferable to a loose, unreliable clip. My Zune stays safely in place despite the rigors of my job as a USPS mail processor: bending, stretching, leaning, brushing against equipment. Also, I didnt find the chemical smell so unpleasant as many other reviewers did. There was a very faint smell that quickly went away, but I had to hold the case up to my nose and take a big sniff to detect it, mainly out of curiosity prompted by the other reviews. This protects the Zune, looks stylish and allows easy use of the Zune.

This will almost identically repeat another review as the facts are the facts. Arrived well packed and as advertised except obviously not real leather. Otherwise would have rated 5 stars. Fits my Zune 120GB perfectly, window and cutouts do their job, and really like the flap with magnetic catch. The belt hook is small and tight and not very functional, but at least its there. Noticed slight odor but not strong and caused me no problem. This is the best value case for a Zune I have found.

How can people hate this case? Its like the best out there for Zune and the fact that every other case has a clip-on thing sux. I admit that I do hate taking it out to charge and sync but it does take good care of the screen [mine doent have a single scratch;)]and people are saying on the reviews its hard to see the videos, guess what, theyre panzies because it does not even slide lots so they need to grow some “cojones” and shut up about that because it still does a great job of doing what its supposed, and that taking care of your Zune so those A-holes should shut it.

Great case for my new 120GB zune. no screen protector, but i dont see it getting scratched thanks to the front flap. inside material is very soft.

Except for (perhaps) the custom cases found at vajacases daaahtcom, this is the best case I could locate anywhere. I snagged it at ShortCircuitedCity before the implosion for about $30. The only place I think it is available now is at the Zune.Net website.

The Incipio Leather Kickstand Case is a perfect fit for the Zune 120. It slides in through the top snugly and the plastic face protects the screen of the Zune as it should. The Leather is of top quality material and for the price, cant be beat. The cut outs for the on/off switch, the speaker/earphone jack and the bottom plugin are lined up with the Zune exact. The only reason I cant give it a 5 star rating is that after you have used the case a couple of days it loosens up a little from around the Zune. I expected this, but I didnt have the slightest idea that the Zune would actually start sliding out of the case. There is nothing at the top to keep the Zune from falling out of the case. I have made a little modification to prevent me from dumping it out on the floor. Other than this one flaw the case is great and I will continue to use it.

This is a great case for protecting my zune. I have the 30 gig model, as it is made for, and it does a great job keeping it from becoming scratched or dinged. The clip doesnt get much use with me, but the arm band is very useful when I run and work out. My only complaint is that the case doesnt fit the zune perfectly, but I also have ocd and just a slight misalignment between the case and zune bugs me more than it should. It functions better than comparable cases out there, and I have yet to see my zune get a single scratch.

This is a good quality cover and arm band. There is a slight fitting issue. The cover sits kind of to the right, so I am always adjusting it. The buttons are covered by the cover but you can still easily hit the buttons. I have bought other Zune covers off the Internet, and this one has been the best yet.

This thing is AWESOME! My fiance helped me put it on but it was really easy. Some parts didnt lay down at first like around the lock button on top but they did smooth down a couple hours later. I had an air bubble or two and those also worked themselves out by the next day. You cant even tell I have it on there except that it has a tacky quality that allows me to keep ahold of it better when its out of a case. I also have a belkin sportband and I dont have any problems getting it in and out of there with this case on. Cant say there is anything I dont like, a great investment!

Ill be blunt: I thought this thing was horrible. First of all, correct installation is a nightmare — youll likely find it impossible to avoid getting fingerprints, lint and dust stuck between the plastic sheet and the Zune. Second, the provided method for installation is laughably bad. Its relatively easy to create packaging that makes applying something like this simple, with a peel on both sides (one to reveal the sticky side, and the other with a paper handle to peel away once its set onto the product).

This relies on a spray you apply to your fingers and the screen “guard” to prevent fingerprints, which is a messy and obnoxious way to operate. The plastic also doesnt look that nice, as I was expecting a harder (not necessarily thicker) material along the lines of some iPhone screen guards. This is a stretcy, soft plastic that is easily marred with fingerprints, oils and dust.

I ended up peeling it off and trashing it. I hated it. Maybe with more patience, youll have better luck… but Id recommend looking elsewhere for scratch protection.

Like everyone says, this is a good product. You just have to be patient with it, and be extra careful. You have to be in a lint free environment, or it will mess up your work. It took me a good 10-30 minutes or more installing this thing, making sure there are no lint, bubbles, and unsticking edges (which was a pain the butt). After installation, I let it sit for 24 hours, and the bubbles are gone, the edges are hardly on, and there are lint on them (I really need to be in a lint free environment – not gonna happen). I did not give it a five star due to installation time, the amount of work, and taking the lint off.

-The silver plate is glued onto the plastic screen. After a few months the silver cover started coming off. It would lift up in one corner. To fix it i gave it one drop of Gorilla Glue and held it down between newspaper and some books for a day. That seemed to fix it and the glue has held on all other spots so far. You would never tell that I glued it back down.

Overall, I really like this case. I am going to get another for my Dad for his birthday. Also I never used the stand that came with it past the first week. So I cant really say how well that works.

These very tough cases protect your Zune nicely. I bought this case because of previous experience with the one that fits the Zune 30 gig and have been very satisfied. There are a few things about this case I do not care for. 1.) I wish it had the hard plastic cover over the screen (like the Zune 30 gig) instead of the plastic film.

2.) With the touch pad being covered with the thick rubber sometimes makes it frustrating to navigate. Other than that is great case if you need extreme protection.

Very pleased with product! Just wish that it would have came with 2 face covers because it scratched so easily by just peeling the backing off.

Good solid case.

If there is anything you should know about Microsoft products like the Zune, it’s that you should download Zune updates so that your device will work in the best condition possible. Zune update is a basically a download that will improve the firmware of the player. Firmware is a computer program that is embedded in a hardware device, the hardware in this case being the Zune. It is something between hardware and firmware and it can be upgraded so that it performs much better. Firmware updates are similar to those found in many recent cellular phones as well.

How Do I know What Firmware My Zune Has?

The Basic – Every Zune unit has a basic firmware out of the box and the very first firmware was version 1.0 (193). This is the original firmware that the Zune device had when installed in the factory for the 30 GB series. This firmware of course was with the first generation of Zune players and the newest is now an 80 GB manifestation so it has a more advanced firmware. To know what kind of firmware your Zune has you can do the following:

- On the Zune Home screen, select settings, and press the center of the Zune pad. – Select About, and press the center button. – Select Zune, and press the center button.

After following those steps, the firmware version should be displayed on the screen and then you can determine whether or not you need a firmware upgrade by visiting the Microsoft website to check if there are any upgrades available.

What Version Firmware Is Available So Far?

The nice thing about Microsoft is that you can actually trace the firmware updates for the Zune and there have been quite a few since they want consumers to get the best from the device. Here are some of the versions that are available for the device and what the updates do to improve the devices performance:

Version 1.1 – Enabled Zune to Zune wireless sharing and improved overall performance. The wireless feature is turned on by default in this update and can be deactivated by going to Settings / Wireless and then turning it off manually.

Version 1.2 – Helped to improve performance as well as stability of that performance.

Version 1.4 – Improved the shuffling behavior of the device.

Version 2.0 – The original factory version for the Zune 4GB, 8GB, and 80GB devices.

Version 2.1 – Improved functionality and performance, but this update was not widely distributed to Zune users.

Version 2.2 – Updated device functionality and improved performance, like helping to download Zune content better and faster over WIFI.

Version 2.3 – The latest update which still has the wireless feature on by default.

Firmware updates are anything but speedy. It takes hardware and software developers a lot of time to develop these updates and they have to make sure that these updates will install properly on all devices sold to the end user. This is the reason why there are not able to download Zune updates whenever they want but only when they are available.

With all of the sites and membership deals that are out there, it is difficult for one to research and choose the best option that will meet their needs. So I have taken it upon myself to research and find the best deal out there for zune users. My research consisted of finding the best deal for your money in order to get unlimited zune downloads. In addition, the sites bonus offers, customer service, and variety of downloads also played a factor in identifying the best site.

The first criteria that the site had to pass is the amount of files available to the users. The site had to provide at least 1 million files and in most cases we found the top sites to offer millions of files over this bare minimum. These files included music, movies, videos, games, wallpaper, and more.

The next criteria for the best unlimited zune download site was affordability. While many of the sites still offer the per month option for those that didn’t want to pay a one time fee, the per month option was usually less than $3 per month which is very affordable and is well worth the money considering if you download one album or movie, you have already received your money’s worth. However, the one time fee we were looking for was under $40 for lifetime access to the site. So a one time fee would allow you to download as much as you would like for the rest of your life. This criteria was the main benefit we could see in deciding on the best unlimited zune download sites.

While we found that most sites offered you extra software to convert your current dvd’s to the zune format for easy transfer to your zune player, they also offered other various software to convert several other types of files for easy transfer to your zune player as well. The better sites also provide anti-spyware, and other helpful software programs to keep your computer clean and safe, which is very nice.

Lastly, all the sites offered customer service, but obviously some were better than others. We weeded out the ones that could not help you with technical difficulties or were too slow to respond in our book. Because when I got caught with a problem downloading files, I wanted to get the issue fixed as fast as possible so I can continue what I’m doing. To me, that is also a factor when considering the best unlimited zune download site.
